residential water damage restoration

Kendal - Cumbria

Drying days = 7

The deluge from Storm Desmond affected many homes and business in Cumbria, but Kendal resident Phillip Chaplow suffered one of the most severe cases of flooding we have seen, with over 2 metres of flood water surging through his property.

The walls of the detached stone built cottage were saturated, and the high RH within the property led to extensive condensation on the upper floor, posing the risk of ongoing damage.

Our evaporation drying service was employed by local Chartered Surveyors Peill & Co, and despite the presence of 18 inch thick stone walls, took just 7 days to dry.

Mere weeks after flooding in early December, we ensured the property was dry and fit to reinstate before the new year arrived.

'A great professional job. Having the property dry in days rather than months helped lift our spirits. Highly recommended, glad we had such a good team restoring our home.

Our work on Mr Chaplow's property was part of a wider programme of flood restoration and drying undertaken by Trustheat in Cumbria following Storm Desmond.

We ensured the One Stop Store in Cockermouth could quickly recommence trading following a 5 day drying programme, and we helped the owners of the Debonair Hair Salon in Kendal by drying both the commercial property and attached residential flat in just 6 days.
