Trustheat are supporting the Watermark Fund in Calderdale

We're contributing to the campaign to help residents and businesses in the Calder Valley affected by flooding

The Watermark Calderdale campaign has been established to build a legacy resilience fund for local towns, helping to assist them in the event of future flooding.

The Calder Valley has suffered from four major floods since 2000, with the latest event on Boxing Day 2015 affecting at least 2000 homes and 200 businesses. Many residents and businesses in the area have found themselves unable to access affordable insurance and the fund is designed to provide a much needed lifeline in the event of future flooding.

Trustheat have committed to lifetime support of the fund, with 5% of all invoices raised in the region being donated to the fund which is managed by the Community Foundation for Calderdale. Trustheat's Managing Director Oliver Townend notes:

"Anyone familiar with the towns of the Calder Valley and their response to previous floods will have no doubt witnessed the generosity of local communities in helping their affected residents and businesses to recover.
The scheme is a fantastic example of communities working together to combat the threat of flooding and we are delighted to be able to contribute to their efforts.
We're committed to providing long-term support to the fund and the towns of the Calder Valley, and we hope our financial support of the scheme will one day reduce the suffering of those affected."
